Goji berries health benefits and a healthy goji berry brownie recipe are the topics today on One Food, Two Nerds – Where health nerd Sophie Uliano teams up with history and science nerd Dan Kohler to explore the history, nutritional benefits and uses of some of today’s most talked about foods in healthy eating!!
Goji berries are mother nature’s super foods. You’ve heard it before, but it bears repeating. Goji berry benefits could go one forever. They’re full of anthocyanins, which are antioxidants (antioxidants are critical to staying youthful and healthy), they’re loaded with beta-carotene which promotes healthy skin, they boost your immune system … Seriously, I could go all day. Typically, you see goji sold as dried, red berries, but today we’re cooking with goji berry powder, which is the easiest way to eat goji berries (as they usually have a bitter taste), and great to cook with!
