Hotel Sambar Recipe| होटल सांभर की विधि | Udipi Restaurant style sambar

Hotel Sambar or Udipi Restaurant style sambar by Desilicious Kitchen. Let us learn how to make this delicious hotel sambar with Desilicious Kitchen. It tastes as good as that in the good Udipi Restaurants. Once you learn how to make this sambar, you will not long for hotel sambar or restaurant sambar from out.
The ingredients needed are
1/3 cup toor dal /split pigeon peas
goosberry size tamarind
jaggery/ gud 1tbsp
Use vegetables of your choice
We used
Red pumpkin 150 grams
radish 100 grams
Drumstick 6 inch piece chopped
green chillies 2 chopped
2 tbsp oil for frying vegetables
(out of total 6 tbsp oil needed)

Oil 2 tbsp
1 tsp mustard seeeds
1/4 ts[ fenugreek seeds
2 red chillies
1/4 tsp asafoetida powder

To roast and grind sambar masala
2 tbsp oil
split bengal gram/ chana dal 1.5 tbsp
coriander seeds/ sabut dhaniya 2tbsp
cumin seeds / jeera 1 tsp
rice 1/2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
green cardamom 2
cloves 2
red chillies 4
black pepper 1/2 tsp
curry leaves 2 tbsp
garlc cloves 4
onions 10 sambar onions (If using regular onions use 1 big onion)
red chilli powder 1 tbsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
grated coconut 3 tbsp
