Mumbaicha Vada Pav | Recipe for Batata Vada | Gluten Free Recipe

Batata Vada, Vada Pav is a very popular Indian Street Food, in fact, Mumbai Street Food. It’s also called Aloo Bonda. It is eaten either on its own or sandwiched between Pav spiced with chutney which is called Vada Pav. This is a gluten free dairy free delicious recipe. Making it is home ensures that is hygienic and tasty.

Ingredients you need to make for Gluten Free Batata Vada at home:

300 grams/ 3 heaping cups Besan/Chickpea flour
500 grams Potatoes about 7 medium to small sized potatoes
6 tbsp Coriander leaves
1 tbsp Lemon juice
To crush in mortar and pestle
7 grams/ about 1/2 inch Ginger
12 grams Green chilies
15 grams Garlic
4 big cloves
1.5 tsp Coriander seeds
1.5 tsp Fennel seeds

Tempering :
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
7 grams/ 1/2 inch Finely chopped Ginger
15 grams finely chopped Garlic /4 bug Cloves
12 grams Finely chopped green chillies
3 big but less spicy ones
1.5 tsp Curry leaves
Salt
Oil to fry
