The Desilicious kitchen comes again with new video how to make Rasam Powder recipe. Rasam is a very simple and special recipe in South India. Rasam is a soup plus more than soup in South Indian cuisine. It is simple yet delicious with suble flavors of the spices tickling the taste buds. It is good for digestion, soothes a sore throat and can be had as is or mixed with rice and with a cooked vegetable or raw salad or chutney for accompaniment

Ingredients you need to make Rasam Powder:

Red chilies – 1 cup/40 grams
Dhaniya – 1/4 cup/20 grams
Toovar Dal – 1cup/190 grams
Pepper – 1cup/135 grams
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 cup 30 grams
Curry leaves (few if desired. Must be washed dried well. But this is optional) I used 1/4 cup /10 grams
Turmeric Powder – 1 table spoon/10 grams
