Hi you guys! We are super duper excited to share our Vegan Nutella Granola recipe with you all! We can’t wait for you guys to try this one because it is truly amazing! Even thinking about it makes us drool! Nutella can be a hard thing to veganize and even harder to make. However this granola recipe takes the fundamentals of nutella and turns it into an easy and fast masterpiece! We prefer to make this every time we have a nutella craving because it’s cheaper, quicker and easier to make than vegan nutella. This is because you only use a fraction of the amount of hazelnuts for this granola and the whole granola batch you make will taste like nutella. What can be better! You can have this any time of day! For breakfast, for a healthy yummy snack, for a decadent dessert over vegan yogurt or vegan ice cream… the list goes on! What’s also great about this recipe is that it’s easily modifiable. If there are any nuts you’re allergic to just replace with another nut or leave it out all together. You can always add more or less nuts than the recipe calls for… both in volume and in variations. Only have hazelnuts on hand? Then only use hazelnuts, as much or as little as you’d like! You can omit nuts (other than nutella) and/or seeds all together. As long as you have ½ cup of Hazelnuts (or ¼ cup of Hazelnut butter) you can make this recipe. But we love to add all the nuts and seeds we have on hand. WE love the added textures, flavor and health benefits they add. That’s what great. Just throw in what you already have in your pantry. So just use the base of this recipe and modify it how you like or copy it exactly to achieve our final “Vegan and Gluten Free Nutella Granola Recipe”! Try saying that 5 times fast! Recipe:
-½ Cup Hazelnuts (or ¼ Cup Hazelnut Butter)
-2 Tbsp Coconut Oil (or any vegetable oil)
-1 tsp Vanilla Extract
-¼ Cup Maple Syrup or Agave
-¼ Cup Vegan Brown Sugar

-2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
-2 Cups Rolled Oats
¼ tsp Sea Salt
1 Tbsp Flax Seeds (or Flax Seed Meal)
1/3 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1/3 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
1/3 Cup Almonds
1/3 Cup Walnuts
Optional: ¼ Cup Hazelnuts

Hazelnut Butter Recipe / Method:
Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (162 degrees Celsius). Place raw hazelnuts on a tray and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, until aromatic and roasted. Make sure to keep an eye on them so that they don’t burn. Optional: remove hazelnut skins (we don’t because it’s too much of a hassle for a small difference). Put roasted hazelnuts in a food processor or high speed blender and blend for 10-15 minutes, until it resembles nut butter. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the food processor every few minutes to make sure the hazelnuts aren’t sticking to the sides. Enjoy!
